Kaevandusala rekultiveerimise käigus 80-tel istutati siin mitmetesse kohtadesse astelpajud (Hippophaë rhamnoides). Ka siin asus kunagi väike metsasalu astelpajudest, mis elas metsana oma elukaare lõpuni aga suutnud jääda metsana püsima. Nüüd on siin domineerivaks puuliigiks kunagi astelpajude vahele istutatud lepad. Hoolikalt otsides võid leida siit veel viimaseid üksikuid astelpajupõõsaid.
Sea buckthorn (Hippophaë rhamnoides) was planted here in several places during the recultivation of the mining area in the 80s. There was once a tiny grove of sea buckthorns here, which lived as a forest until the end of its life span yet could not remain a forest. Now, the dominant tree species here are the alder trees that were once planted among the buckthorns. If you look carefully, you can still find the last few sea buckthorn bushes here.
