Halljänes (Lepus europaeus) on levinud meile stepialadelt, tema kasukas ei muutu talvel valgeks. Valgejänes (Lepus timidus) on kasvult väiksem ja veidi lühemate kõrvadega, tema saabus Eestisse kohe peale jääaega. Siit mägede otsast on hea vaade loopealsetele, kus võib kohata mõlema jänese liigi esindajaid.
The gray hare (Lepus europaeus) is common to us from steppe areas; its coat does not turn white in winter. The white hare (Lepus timidus) is smaller in stature and has slightly shorter ears; it arrived in Estonia right after the ice age. From this top of the hill, there is a good view of the alluvial plains, where you can meet representatives of both species of hares.
