Siin võid kohata jälgi kobraste (Castor) tegutsemisest. Kaevanduse töötades pumbati siit vett ära, et hoida vee tasapinda enam kui meetri võrra madalamal praegusest. Koprad püüdsid sel ajal paisutada voolavat vett.
Võerdla Pumbamaja lammutati “Varemetevaba Eesti” esimese projektina 2010. aastal. Vesi enam ei voola, aga koprad on jäänud. Sirgeid kopraradasid näed mõlemal kaldal paljudes kohtades.
Here, you can find traces of beaver (Castor) activity. When the mine was working, water was pumped out to keep the water level more than a meter lower than it is now. At that time, the beavers tried to swell the flowing water.
Võerdla pump house was demolished as the first project of “Estonia Without Wrecks” in 2010. The water no longer flows, but the beavers have remained. You can see visible beaver tracks on both banks in multiple places.
