Rebala küla keskel asus kunagi karstiauk, mis täideti tee ehitamiseks. Paekivi kihtide vahel voolav maa-alune jõgi lõigati siin läbi kaevandamise käigus. Jälgi sellest jõest võib kohata erinevates kohtades vastaskaldal kevadeti veeniredena ja talvel suurte jääpurikatena. Selja taga asus kunagi pikliku kujuga raba, mida tunti nii Rebala kui ka Võerdla raba nimede all, seal asusid neis külades olevate talude turbavõtukohad.
In the middle of the village of Rebala, a karst hole was once filled to build a road. The underground river flowing between the layers of limestone was cut here during mining activity. Traces of this river can be found in different places on the opposite bank in the form of water flows in the spring and as large icicles in the winter. Behind the back was once an oblong bog, known as both Rebala and Võerdla bog, where the peat extraction sites of the nearby villages were located.
