There are many protected orchids in the mining area that belong to the endangered species list. The most common are Lesser Butterfly-orchids (Platanthera bifolia), Baltic Marsh Orchids (Dactylorhiza baltica), Common Spotted Orchids (Dactylorhiza fuchsii), and Broad Leaved Helleborin (Epipactis helleborine).
