Story of Taju

An inspiring journey

We have traveled far and wide, collecting memorable stories, meeting extraordinary people, and embracing the thrill of exploration. Yet, no matter how far we’ve gone, one truth remains—there is no place like home.

Estonia is a place of quiet wonders. A short drive from the capital transports you into untouched nature—deep forests, flowering meadows, and the serene solitude of the countryside. This harmony between accessibility and seclusion is a rare luxury, and we believe it’s best shared.

An infinite journey

The journey of world-class hospitality is an infinite one for it has no end goal. The goal is to grow constantly, to notice, adjust and adapt – or to put it simply, to be a little bit better every day.

This constant growth reflects in Taju’s landscapes as well, for nature is always in motion and transformation.

A balancing journey

Meadows and pastures surrounding old farmsteads are unique environments that provide habitats for many plant and animal species. Grasslands are also important because of their cultural value. The landscape here was shaped by centuries of continuous mowing and animal grazing. Thanks to our guests, we carry on land maintenance traditions and contribute to the surrounding biodiversity.

We have received the international ecolabel, Green Key, for actively addressing environmental and sustainability issues by adhering to its comprehensive criteria. We have also set goals for the near future, including:

*Planning higher energy use during peak solar power production times to maximise our own solar energy use.

*Reducing packaging waste in cooperation with suppliers.

*Creating a dedicated bio-waste collection zone divided into three sections for each stage of composting.

*Encouraging guests to contribute to local biodiversity through volunteer work (e.g. planting vegetation, maintaining semi-natural habitats).

Our team

The journey of world-class hospitality does not end in a year, or five, or ten. The goal is to grow constantly: to be a little bit better every day. We aim to create an environment where we can all grow into better versions of ourselves.

Our method involves constant experimenting, where possible challenges and drawbacks are part of the process, promoting new heights. We invite you to join us on this infinite journey!
