A Lightning-Struck Stone

F2

Larger or oddly shaped rocks used to be important landmarks for fishermen and seal hunters.

At the top of this pier stands a Raudkari stone. Next to it is Piksekivi, which appears cut from the sides as if with a knife. Piksekivi, or the Lightning-Struck-Stone, was named around 150 years ago when this farm produced flax. Once, when the flax was put to soak in the sea, the thunder hit that rock neatly in half.
