Chapel´s Oak

According to the Kostiranna village legend, a small Catholic wooden chapel stood nearby in the 15th century. It was supposedly abandoned after the Reformation and gradually deteriorated. The story tells that the pieces of burnt clay candlesticks have been found in the ground, proving the existence of such a chapel. In honour of this local legend, this stunning-crowned oak is now called Kabelitamme.
