Meadows

Sometimes, the continuity of meadow landscapes, mowed for centuries, is interrupted by the plantation of potatoes or other crops. The meadows of our western plateau are, therefore, 100% man-made, sown in the spring of 2019 on a previously milled and cleared area without herbicides.
We chose the seed mix based on the lush, species-rich meadows on mineral soil and mowing times are scheduled according to the traditional hay season. In this way, we keep large unwanted species under control and give the desired species a chance to remain competitive. Walking along the footpaths down the slope, you will come to coastal pastures and forests, where our mountain cattle help restore the seaside meadow.
Each community is different in its species richness. At the same time, the common feature of these landscapes is that, just as they were formed in the past in the cooperation between man and nature, they are also being restored today.
